Lights

As we are still enjoying the beauty of Wanaka, I thought I should update you on a few things that happened in the 'missing weeks' - the three weeks between our Hamilton Island holiday and this holiday.

Looking back through my blog it looks like all we do is holiday - and that is just not right! So to follow are few posts about the things that were were up to before we came away......



I have always had a bit of a fascination with lights.....

When we moved into our house (now 18 months ago) there was not a single light in the place that was not a bare bulb against the roof.  Over time (and because I am very fussy!) we have been very very slowly getting some light fittings into the house.

A few months ago I ordered a light off the Internet – it is not something that I would normally do but this one took my fancy, was the right price and was big enough to do our large living room justice. 

It unfortunately sat in its box and then out of its box on the floor for quite a few weeks before we finally got around to putting it up!

But after much prompting the wonderful J finally put it up for me and I am really happy with the choice.

Now I just have to decide on a room colour ... we are currently discussing being bold and doing Aqua Marine (a slightly darker shade than this):

Or being restrained and going for a more sedate and sensible colour like Fair Bianca (white) ..... I do hope bold wins!
