The wedding cake for my beautiful October bride is coming up soon and we have been discussing cake flavours. As a result of this I decided to trial a new cake recipe: a White Chocolate Mud Cake.
I made a range of cake sizes so I could take some to work for some 'external' taste testing and a cake for family dinner. Very positive responses were made by all!
For the frosting I trialed a recipe for Italian Meringue Buttercream. Although I have no doubt that this recipe is great and works well, however due to 'operator error' it was a fail for me.
The icing tasted great, however the constancy left a lot to be desired.
I know where I went wrong so I will be trying again when we get home .... I have great faith that the next batch will be perfect.
